New segment:
CRITICAL REVIEW OF LIBRARY-RENTED MEDIA
(i.e., appreciation of public services, student living, being a cheapskate)
CONGORAMA(2006)
Directed by Phillipe Falardeau. A French dramedy full of loose ends, family ties, twists, and "a-ha" moments. The story details a mediocre French-Belgian inventor and his search for his biological parents. This movie had some farts moments, but I found it painfully awkward to watch at some points. The cast is full of memorable characters including the main character, Michel (played by Olivier Gourmet).
Gourmet was notably successful at playing a passive-aggresive, frustrated loser. All in all, it's worth watching twice, if only to catch all of its quirky idiosyncrasies.
MY RATING: 6.5
Have a great weekend. Schoolwork is calling me!
